Jayce Romero was born in Lafayette, Louisiana on George Washington’s birthday. He attended a mainstream program for the Deaf in Lafayette. At the age of 12, he went to Texas School for the Deaf in Austin for better education, as recommended by Deaf Focus in Baton Rouge. He owes a great deal to his teachers, dorm supervisors, and a special mentor for his all-round education there. During the summers of 2017 to 2019, he was very much involved in the Deaf Focus-sponsored Kidz Kamp as a junior counselor, he helped take care of campers and took photographs of various activities. This year he is excited and enthusiastic to work with Deaf Focus organization as a media specialist in photography, computers, and filmmaking. In his spare time he enjoys swimming, and reading Harry Potter books. You can see him when you visit the Deaf Focus office!
